As you all know, it's Duncan Hines Festival time!!!  Local artist and a winner of our 2011 Duncan Hines Festival Art Contest, Andee Rudloff, has designed our festival tee shirt, which looks great!  We are adding the design to a ladies junior fitting tee shirt (No Boxy Unisex Shirt This Year!!  Yay!)...unless you want a BOXY tee and they can order one of those too!  If you are interested in purchasing a Duncan Hines Festival Tee Shirt ($12.50 - 15.50, depending on the size), please let Deanna know what size to order for you.  The shirts will be ordered on Friday, June 29!!  So act quickly!   Reply to deannaclark8@gmail.com or call/text at 270-703-9145.  

 

Keep in mind the are junior t-shirts are sized differently, so a Large, is a women's small, an XL is a women's small/medium, 2XL is like a Med/Lg, 3XL is like a Lrg/XL, and so on...

Scottsville (KY) Community Mural Complete!!!

When over 100 people get together in Scottsville, KY, for a few hours...THIS happens.  Thanks to the Laura Goad Turner Foundation, Heart of Scottsville, Scottsville Guild and Arts Council, Allen County Schools, SKyPAC and many talented community members!  Go by and see this 160 foot mural about the great community of Allen County in person at Haven4Change, 49 Hillview Drive, Scottsville, KY.  COMING SOON on YouTube, a time lapse video of the creation of the mural by Yellowberri Studios.

Bowling Green PBR Art

A unique exhibition of artists utilizing PBR is part of the Bowling Green Gallery Hop Friday, June 1st from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Everyone is invited to join the artists and community supporters at Yellowberri for the BG Gallery Hop to see the Bowling Green PBR Art with BigHead Studios.  It's sure to be an interesting time! Allen County Community Mural

Come participate Saturday, June 9th in Scottsville, KY!!  The Laura Goad Turner, SKyPAC, Heart of Scottsville and Allen County Schools Community Mural will take place Saturday, June 9th from 11am-3pm at Haven 4 Change located at 49 Hillview Dr. Scottsville KY 42164. Kentucky Derby Bow Ties

Kentucky Derby jockeys are known for their colorful silks.  Fifteen silks of Kentucky Derby winners are featured in 5 inch by 5 inch bow tie paintings by andee.  Big Brown, Seattle Slew, Giacomo, Smarty Jones and more have their winning silks interpreted as a bow tie at Bryant Gallery's 1 year birthday celebration.  Don't miss it!

SKyPAC is open!!!

Over the past few months, I have been part of a small team of dedicated people opening an art center in Bowling Green, KY. SKyPAC!!! Now, we have officially been open 30 days and I feel I can safely say...WE DID IT!!! There is a lot of work yet to do to get programs up and running...but the shows are happening! I hope you will come by and see us. SKyPAC (Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center) is located at 601 College Street in Bowling Green, KY 42101. One of my favorite art collaborators, Lindsey Bailey, and her students need our help. They need supplies for 12 remaining workshops as well as transportation for the students to attend the gallery reception at Belmont University. At the gallery reception, the student participants can see their work and speak with the people attending the event. Your contribution will also help with culminating event costs, like installation lighting, projection equipment, community invitations and to publish a book, including all of the lesson plans, example artwork, and documentation; and the student, educator, and community responses to the projects. This book will be made available to schools and organizations so that more youth can participate in performance-based workshops.
